Subscribers on your hotspot can now watch a short video ad on the login page and get free internet, and you earn for every ad watched to the end. Available to every ISP in Kenya.
How to switch it on
- Turn on "Watch an ad" in your Free Trial. Go to Packages, open your Free Trial package (create one if you don't have it), switch on Also offer free internet for watching an ad, and save. Ad viewers get the same free time and speed as your trial.
- Choose the routers. Go to Outreach → Communications → Hotspot ads. Next to each router, tap Turn on, then pick the county, sub-county and type of place (café, school, market…) and confirm. Advertisers use this to choose where their ads show.
- That's it. Subscribers on those routers see Watch an ad on the login page. When the video ends they are online for your trial's time.
Good to know
- One ad per device per day is on by default. You can turn it off on the Free Trial package to let devices watch again as soon as their free time ends.
- If no ad is available, the subscriber gets your free trial instead. Devices that have already used it are asked to pick a package.
