PHPNuxBill and Centipid both bill MikroTik hotspot and PPPoE customers. You host one. We host the other. This is the closest comparison on our site. PHPNuxBill is free and does a lot: vouchers, balances, auto-renewal, RADIUS and payment plugins. The difference is who runs the server, who keeps the payment integrations working, and who answers when something breaks. This page is what each one ships.

PHP, MySQL, the cron job and the server under them are yours to patch and back up. If the cron job stops, renewals stop with it.

A payment plugin is code written against a gateway that changes its API. When it breaks, customers pay and stay offline until someone fixes it.
