What the address says
Read straight off the request this page made, and nothing else: we do not log it, store it or send it on.
The address is your network's
Your router hands every device on the line one private address each, and shares a single public one with the internet. That public address is what is shown here, so every phone and laptop in the house reads the same one.
The network name is the ASN holder's
An address belongs to an autonomous system: a network that announces its own routes. The name shown is that system's registered one, which is often the formal company name rather than the retail brand you pay.
A relay hides the line behind it
On a VPN or iCloud Private Relay the request leaves the relay's network, so the address and the name describe the relay rather than you. The page says so when it sees one instead of naming Cloudflare as your provider, and leaves the location out altogether rather than reporting the relay's as yours.
The location is a guess, not a fix
Where an address sits is inferred from where its block is routed, which places most connections in the right country and the wrong suburb. It is not GPS, and nothing on this page reads your device's location.
The edge is not where you are
"Answered by" names the Cloudflare data centre that served this page: the nearest one with capacity, which on a bad route is a long way off. It measures the path, not the visitor.
